Wahls and the Turks have quietly put together one of the best local Class 2A seasons. Tremont (24-4) lost its four games to Elmwood, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, Route 9 rival Dee-Mack and Eureka. Wahls led Tremont to a bounce back game against Eureka with a 28-point victory on Jan. 30.
