The senior cruised through the 165-pound bracket at the Heart of Illinois Conference Tournament on Saturday at Deer Creek-Mackinaw. Delaney (42-2) recorded three pins en route to the HOI championship. He pinned El Paso-Gridley sophomore Braden Gibson in 1:59. That was the third of three pins Delaney had in under two minutes. Those trio of pins helped put Delaney as third all-time in IHSA history with 129 career pins.
